A spokesperson for Victoria Police confirmed the plane circling Cowes last week was was a training exercise.

The Vic Emergency incident map showing an aircraft warning for the plane on the Cowes-Rhyll Road about 11pm last Wednesday, while flight radar apps showed the plane repeatedly circling over the Cowes area.
