Poachers fined but not convicted for Berrys Beach abalone seizure

Abalone poachers have escaped with fines and without conviction after illegally taking 90 abalone at Berrys Beach.

Poachers fined but not convicted for Berrys Beach abalone seizure
Offenders admitted their guilt in the Korumburra Magistrates' Court for a range of offences after fleeing Fisheries offices at Berrys Beach. After being arrested they were found to have illegally poached 90 abalone - more than twice the commercial limit and with 28 under size.
