Police update

On April 21, around 2am, San Remo police detected a silver Kia Sportage wagon driving at 86 kilometres an hour in the 60 kilometres an hour zone on the Bass Highway at Grantville.

The 34-year-old male from Bass, allegedly returned a breath test of 0.103.
The car was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1440.

Then on April 26, at about 3am, police from San Remo detected a black Jaguar wagon driving at 82 kilometres an hour in the 60 kilometres an hour zone at Grantville.

The driver, a 42-year-old male from Merna allegedly returned a breath test of 0.062.

Both drivers received a summons to attend Korumburra Magistrates' Court for speed and drink driving offences.
