Queue grows at vaccination clinic
Today's session is fully booked and walk in demand is extremely high.
By 10am this morning, a long queue had formed outside the Town Hall in Wonthaggi, as people waited to receive a Covid vaccination.
But spirits were high, with the crowd entertained by a local musician on his ukulele, with security guard Mick Cannatta and the crowd joining in!
Bookings can be made by calling 1800 675 398. The clinic also accepts walk ins.
Bass Coast Health (BCH) has advised today's session is fully booked and walk in demand is extremely high. Those attending without a booking could experience delays are people are asked to be patient.
The clinic is open tomorrow (Saturday, May 29) from 8.30am until 1pm, and will operate every day next week.
Monday: 9am - 7pm

Tuesday-Friday: 9am - 4pm (depending on demand)
You must bring proof of ID and your Medicare card.
People aged over 50 are eligible to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine, while people aged 40 - 49 are now eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.
The Pfizer vaccine can only be given to those who met the eligibility criteria and BCH has advised it has no ability to change the guidelines and can only give Pfizer to those who are eligible.

Vaccinations can also been booked through local GPs and medical clinics.
