It was game on! U18s
Best Players: Phillip Island: Jack Papas, Hunter Clarke, Yianni Caffieri, Thomas Niven, Ben Taylor, Kohen Beaumont.
Under 18s:
It was billed as an Under 18 showdown, and so it was.
The match started at a frenetic pace with both sides knowing the importance of the game.
It was Tooradin who opened the scoring with a goal and followed up with a nice mark and goal not long after, but a free kick to Sunny Mattock brought up the first major for the Bulldogs. It was hard and tough footy.
From the outset of the second quarter, it was all out attack by the Bulldogs, and it was Brady Ross who got the ball to Sunny Mattock who marked and kicked his second goal followed up by a great goal to Ben Taylor.
Not to be outdone, Tooradin kicked four unanswered and it wasn’t until Jack Papas got the ball to Brayden Kleverkamp that the Bulldogs brought up their third for the quarter.
A downfield free to Finn Cashman who kicked truly then a great mark and goal to Dylan Susic put the Bulldogs ahead for the first time in the match.
From a goal line scrimmage, Tooradin brought up their only major for the term, but this was answered by the Bulldogs with a mark and goal to Tyce Kleverkamp. WOW!! What a game of footy!

It was game on!
Tooradin opened with a quick goal which took back the lead and from that point kicking another three and prevented the Bulldogs from scoring.
Although disappointing for the Islanders, their endeavour could not be questioned.
The club is proud of the sportsmanship and behaviour of our young men, something that some other clubs should emulate.
