Robbie Linford 300th Game
His career with the Bulldogs goes back to juniors at the turn of the century.
The final home game of 2023 loomed in cold conditions under a gloomy sky, conditions akin to the overall mood within the Bulldogs camp during the week after a couple of losses and a string of significant injuries.
With the Koo Wee Rup Demons coming to visit for this round 17 clash, the Bulldogs’ supporters were hopeful that the Demons presence would generate some strong heat across all the football grades, with a full complement of competitive teams from Under 16s through to Seniors.
Highlight of the day was the 300th club game appearance for island stalwart and all-round great guy Robbie Linford.
Playing his 97th reserves game (having also played 193 senior games, as well as 10 Over-35 games for the club), his career with the Bulldogs goes back to juniors at the turn of the century.
His exceptional efforts were marked pre-game and post-game for the Reserves, as well as a
wonderful presentation in the social rooms after the game.
