In the final game of the home and away season the reserves needed a solid win against Korumburra to cement third spot.
Excitement in the room’s pre-game, with the news that the magnificent duo Jess Gislingham and James Stirton were kitted up to play their second games for the year!
Beware Korumburra, and that was to be very true.
A strong seven goal first quarter set up the game for the Bulldogs with an even spread of goal kickers.
Luke James was dominant in the ruck and Dean Blake and Blake Christopher were providing plenty of forward drive.

The Island continued in the second quarter with a big ten goal return, and it was club legend Jess Gislingham who booted three majors to rapturous applause from the crowd.
Connor Thompson and Sam McRae continued their great form playing a solid four quarter game and with two more majors taking Gislingham’s total to five for the day, the game was safe.
The reserves secured third spot for the year with an elimination final awaiting against Koo Wee Rup next week.
