Netballers welcome Kilcunda-Bass rivals in local showdown - C Grade
Phillip Island: 25 def by Kilcunda-Bass: 26
Not knowing what the game would entail, the C Grade girls went into the game ready to rock and roll.
Again, with knockout to start the warmup, we were ready to play.
Bass shook the girls a little bit, with their intensity levels high, but the Island girls gave them a solid fight.
The defenders, Chloe, Karina and Taylah, worked tirelessly to put pressure over the goals and turn over whatever they could.
Lots of pressure gave the Island shooters lots of scoring opportunities.
Our midcourters, Tori, Rose, Nikki and Karina fed the ball well into the shooters.
Plenty of good leads and passing from one end to the other was a huge benefit to the Island’s game.
Bella and Lawri, the awesome shooters, worked extremely well together in the ring. moving well and passing to each other like they have played together for years.
The Island girls put their best fight on display today and should be extremely proud of their efforts!
The team says goodbye to Bella today, who is off on a working adventure of a lifetime.
She will be missed and welcomed back with open arms.
Best on court: Chloe Moxey and Bella Ross.
