A trip to our close neighbours Dalyston beckoned, with the expectation of a much closer and competitive competition this year.
Competitive in all grades, with the Magpies sitting well in finals contention in all grades, the Bulldogs were well prepared for a close and tough encounter for all games.
Under 18s
The clash between the U18s Bulldogs and Magpies is always a fierce one with old mates coming up against one another.
A rough start when the flashy Sonny Merryfull went down with a knee injury in the first quarter, but the boys rallied and ended the quarter with a 33-point lead.
Birthday boy skipper Finn Cashman was consistent in the middle with Daniel Caffieri showing his strength all game.
Jack Johnston was in top form and kicked a lazy six goals and James Lewis was instrumental in his return to the club and putting two goals on the board.
Well done lads, a great win.
