Ramada recruitment underway
A recruitment drive is underway at Ramada Phillip Island on Wednesday, November 17, between 11am and 2pm.

Ramada Resort on Phillip Island is part of a nationwide rapid recruitment day by Wyndham Destinations, as it prepares for a busy holiday season.

There are jobs available at Ramada Phillip Island, and job seekers should go to the resort on Wednesday, November 17, between 11am and 2pm.

More than 160 roles are on offer across the country.

Both casual positions and permanent roles are available in cities including the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne, with many more roles on offer in regional resort destinations across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia.

Jobs include bartenders, chefs, resort staff, customer service staff, maintenance crew, room attendants, sales and marketing roles.

“We’re expecting a bumper holiday season, and we are looking for customer focused candidates to help put the world back on vacation,” said Bruce Harkness, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Customer Experience, PR & Communications.

To help drive recruitment, the company is holding a nationwide Rapid Recruitment Day on Wednesday November 17, between 11am and 2pm (local time) across all of its Australian and New Zealand Club Wyndham and Wyndham resorts, and Ramada resorts on the Sunshine Coast, Shoal Bay, Phillip Island and Port Douglas.

All Rapid Recruitment Day candidates will receive 20 per cent off a resort stay simply for attending on the day.

The company is offering a host of benefits to successful candidates including:

  • A generous starting bonus for eligible roles
  • Paid parental leave for full-time employees
  • Subsidised private health cover for full-time employees
  • A free two-night stay
  • Ongoing discounted resort stays
  • A choice of gift upon recruitment valued at $100
  • Professional development funding

“Restrictions are lifting and travel is making a comeback,” said Mr Harkness.

“We encourage jobseekers to come along to our rapid recruitment day, or apply with us direct for the chance to embark on a rewarding career with Wyndham Destinations. Hospitality is a wonderful career offering exciting progression opportunities. We have seen so many people grow in our organisation from entry-level roles to senior leadership careers, which have in many cases, taken them all over the world.”

Candidates should be aware that some jurisdictions in Australia require all hospitality workers to be fully vaccinated or may do so in the future.
