The recent hot summer nights have treated us to some spectacular sunsets, such as this one captured at Rhyll beach on February 28 by Rhylla Edwards.
“It shows the crepuscular rays through clouds, reflecting on the water,” she said.
According to Wikipedia the rays are “sunbeams that originate when the sun appears to be just above or below a layer of clouds, during the twilight period”.
The best time to witness them is early morning or late afternoon, when the sun is closer to the horizon.
