Rebecca Naughtin joins Newhaven College Board
Rebecca Naughtin has joined the Newhaven College Board. The College Alumni from the 1990s has returned to Phillip Island to live with her young family.

Newhaven College is delighted to announce a new member of the College Board of Directors, Rebecca Naughtin BArch (Hon).

Rebecca is a College Alumni from the 1990s and has returned to Phillip Island to live with her young family. Her children attend the Junior School and have settled well into the school community.

Rebecca has worked as an architect, tertiary tutor, and co-ordinator, and has sat on various boards and panels across an array of educational sectors.

Rebecca is the Principal Director of Rebecca Naughtin Architect Pty Ltd, which she founded in 2012. With experience in business, education and project management, the College said Rebecca’s skills and knowledge are perfectly placed for the benefit of Newhaven College.

Rebecca is looking forward to contributing to the Board for years to come.

“I'm here for the long run. We're Philip Island lifers now, so I'm hoping there’s some longevity in this position,” Rebecca said.

Rebecca has been designated as the Chair of Projects and is excited about putting her knowledge and skills into action.

“I have a background in tertiary education in architecture, including accreditation and registration. Along with this, I have board experience for an early learning centre in Melbourne,” she said.

“So, I can understand the levels of governance within those two roles but also, understand how to benchmark against other institutions.”

Principal Tony Corr  said the College was thrilled have Rebecca join the board.

“She has an exceptional set of skills and experiences that can only help grow our College.

“She also has a unique connection with the school as a past student, the daughter of Life Governor and past Board Chair Bill Naughtin, and now with her own two children in the early years of their educational journey here at the College.

“Her perspectives and insights will be invaluable. We are looking forward to Rebecca’s contribution.”
