Remembrance Day in Cowes

Remembrance Day in Cowes will be conducted at the Cenotaph, on Saturday November 11, starting at 10.45am

The Phillip Island RSL said unfortunately it was unable to conduct its normal services at retirement homes in the area.

“Primarily this is because our Chaplain has relocated and several of our committee members will be absent during this period,” a spokesperson explained.

“This leaves the remainder to plan and conduct the main service.”

Members will also be selling poppies in the lead up to Remembrance Day.

The service as usual will allow those in attendance to lay wreaths or remembrance poppies during the service.

“We will welcome all in attendance back at the RSL for refreshments afterwards.”
