Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cowes is the latest school in Bass Coast to sign up for the state government’s Respectful Relationships program.
State Member for Bass Jordan Crugnale announced the school will implement the Respectful Relationships program after applying through an expression of interest process.
There are currently 1951 schools across Victoria delivering the program.
“Respectful Relationships makes a difference in shaping the attitudes of young people - and we’re thrilled to see Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cowes implementing the program,” said Ms Crugnale.
The Respectful Relationships program is helping schools promote respect, positive attitudes and behaviours in all aspects of their culture – in the classroom, the playground, the staff room and the broader school community.
From Term 2 this year, the teaching of consent in a sensitive and age-appropriate way is mandatory in all government schools.
