This week's bridge club news.
On Monday, October 30, twelve pairs took to the tables.
Neville Chapman and partner Lorrie Read topped the board on 60.87 per cent. Next in line were Lois Dwyer and Anne Gibson on 57.78 per cent. Marnie Myall and Paul Waylen finished third on 54.07 per cent.
Wednesday was Nationwide with four pairs achieving master points. Wendy and Graham Mckergow were fourth on 46.43 per cent. Diane Colemand and Judy O’Connell put in a good effort given they had not played together previously with 54.14 per cent. Marnie Myall and Shirley Stewart came second on 58.33 per cent.
Karen Klym and Paul Waylen took out the day on 66.07 per cent.
Next weekend is South Gippsland Bridge Club’s annual congress with Swiss pairs on Saturday and Swiss teams on Sunday.
November 13 and 20 is a red point team event for Phillip Island Bridge Club – pre-entry is required on the club whiteboard.
