RIP NIMBY: new laws crush objectors' rights
Local planning observers say given Phillip Island - but not San Remo - now has town boundaries locked in under the DAL, all development will be infill and so the Bill will impact many people. Under the new Bill, in Parliament last week, planning permits for homes, duplexes, townhouses and low-rise apartments will require no notice and have no third-party appeals to VCAT.
