San Remo business Terra Lab is a finalist in the national NBN grants program.
The environmental and GIS consultancy is a finalist in the agriculture category of the $15,000 innovate with NBN program, which aims to help regional businesses transform ideas into products and services.
Winners are announced on February 22 in Canberra.
Terra Lab, run by Harley Shinagl (pictured), creates hardware and software solutions for tracking weed management, which retrofits to weed control equipment and automatically records the equipment’s location and activity to review data, plan work, view statistics, publish maps, and report to clients.
NBN chief development officer Gavin Williams said 13 finalists were selected from more than 150 nationwide entries, with the overall winner also given $20,000.
“We launched this program to unearth fresh ideas and support businesses that are using the NBN network to develop products or solutions that improve productivity and social outcomes for Australians,” Gavin said.
