Senior club championships
This week's tennis news.
The Phillip Island Tennis Club held its 2023 Senior Club Championships on Sunday, December 3.
Those who attended witnessed some great tennis, with the final match of the day (Mixed Singles Final) drawing much cheering and applause from everyone watching.
Many thanks to Club Coach Paul Rowbottom (Innovative Tennis Management) for looking after the draw and trophies, to everyone who contributed to a fabulous lunch and to those who participated and came from near and far (one from Adelaide!) to watch and enjoy a great day.
Winners and runners-up were:
Men's A grade singles: winner David Rooks and runner-up Rafa Lobo.


Men's B grade singles: winner Shane Dougherty and runner-up Terry Ahern.
Ladies' singles: winner Edith Kaminsky and runner-up Fabiola Smith.
Men's doubles: winners Rafa Lobo and Terry Ahern, runners-up Rick Fitzgerald and John Lancaster.
Ladies' doubles: winners Edith Kaminsky and Amanda Walker, runners-up Betty Malloy and Robyne Lunn.
Mixed doubles: winners Shane Dougherty and Amanda Walker, runners-up Geoff Clements and Edith Kaminsky.
