The Phillip Island CWA is preparing Dignity Bags - bags that consist of essential items for women, teenagers, and mothers with babies, that have to leave a domestic violent situation.
Everyone is encouraged to fill a bag (adult, teen, or mum and bub) with essential items.
Each donation is personally collected, sorted, tagged and logged before they are transported to the network of charity partner organisations who gift them to women and girls waking up in domestic violence shelters or homelessness refuges on Christmas Day.
"The CWA is collecting items that can be put together in the appropriate bags.
"Please drop into the shop (94 Thompson Avenue, Cowes) and see what can go into the bag or feel free to drop off your items and we will put it together for you," a spokesperson for the Phillip Island CWA said.
