On Sunday, December 10, the first cruise ship of the season, the Seabourn Odyssey arrived at Phillip Island.
The ship dropped anchor off shore, with shuttle boats bringing the disembarking passengers to Rhyll around 9am. Shuttle buses ran between Rhyll and Cowes.
The visitors were greeted by staff from Bass Coast Shire Council’s visitor services team.
Many of the visitors had booked trips to local attractions, while others preferred to explore the island in their own time.
Later this week, on December 14, the Grand Princess arrives for a visit.
The ship previously came to Phillip Island in March this year, the biggest and final ship of the 2023 season.
This summer, 11 ships are scheduled to visit; four in January, four in February and the final visit on April 27 from the P&O Pacific Adventure.
