Nominations for the 2026 7NEWS Community Achievement Awards for Victoria, close on August 28.
The awards recognise the individuals, businesses, community groups and organisations making a meaningful contribution across the state.
The awards include three categories: Regional Development Victoria Business Achievement Award, Regional Development Victoria Leadership and Innovation Award and the Awards Australia Foundation Health and Wellbeing Award

Small business mentoring
The Business Skills Mentoring program has been expanded, giving more small business owners access to free, one-on-one advice.
Eligible owners can access three confidential one-hour mentoring sessions to build their skills.
Over the coming months the government is also launching two new programs:
• Multicultural Skills Fund: providing up to $5,000 for business skills training for multicultural businesses
• Small Business Activation Fund: grants of up to $5,000 for local councils, business organisations, chambers and industry associations to help small businesses to grow
Expressions of interest for the Business Skills Mentoring program close on Monday August 31.
