Online farm business program

Agriculture Victoria invites farm business owners and managers to take part in a free online business program, to strengthen their farm business to better manage the risks associated with a variable climate.

The online program will run on Wednesdays, starting on February 25 at 12pm, over six weeks. It is suitable for livestock, grains, mixed farmers, horticulturalists and apiarists.

The program will be delivered over five interactive sessions focused on key farm management topics

Bushfire preparedness and response Inquiry

A new Parliamentary Inquiry, led by the Environment and Planning Standing Committee of the Legislative Council, will examine Victoria's preparedness, planning and response to this summer's bushfires.

It is calling for submissions and first responders, CFA volunteers, affected farmers, fire impacted residents, small business owners, community members and contractors are urged to take part.

The Committee is due to report by June 1, 2026.

Regional All Abilities Grants

South Gippsland Bass Swimming Club and Wonthaggi Life Saving Club were among the 89 sports clubs that received funding through the Regional All Abilities Participation Grants.

The grants provide funding of up to $25,000 to boost access, inclusion and participation, helping more people with disability benefit from the physical, social and mental health advantages of sport and active recreation.
