Nominations for this year’s Good Sports Awards close on October 30.
Community sporting clubs across Victoria have the chance to win up to $2000.
The annual Good Sports Awards celebrate the Good Sports clubs and volunteers that are dedicated to making their clubs the very best they can be. This year’s categories include Club of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Safe Transport Award, Mental Health Excellence Award, Junior Club of the Year, New Club of the Year, and a new Community Club of the Year Award.

Get kids active this summer
Applications are now open for the next round of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program.
Eligible families can apply for vouchers of up to $200 and use them at registered sporting clubs and activity providers without having to worry about upfront costs. The vouchers can be used to cover the costs of equipment, uniforms and memberships across a range of activities from club cricket to dance.
Parents and carers of toddlers can also use the vouchers for learn-to-swim classes.
Clubs, associations and organisations can register anytime to be a Get Active Kids Voucher Activity Provider
Applications close at 5pm on November 30. Details: getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers.
Solar rebate expanded
The state government’s solar panel rebate scheme will expand the eligibility to new homes under construction.
Under the changes, eligible Victorians building homes will be able to apply for a rebate of $1400 as well as being able to access a $1400 interest free loan to install solar panels during construction.
Applicants must use a Solar Victoria authorised retailer and install a product included on the approved products list to qualify for the rebate.
