More sports support

Applications are open for the 2023/24 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.
There are three funding streams providing up to $300,000 for community facilities, up to $250,000 for community sports lighting, and up to $40,000 for planning.
All Victorian councils and Alpine Resorts Victoria are eligible to apply for funds towards a range of community sports infrastructure and recreation developments.
Clubs interested in seeking support through the 2023/24 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund are encouraged to contact their local council regarding the application process.

Fishing grants

The latest round of the Recreational Fishing Grants Program is open.
Project proposals between $5000 and $100,000 qualify for the large grants, available across four categories: Fisheries sustainability and habitat improvement; fishing access and facilities; fisheries related education, information and training; recreational fisheries research.
The Program is open to fishing clubs, community groups, incorporated bodies, and government and statutory bodies. Intermediate grants for fishing clubs are available for projects up to $50,000, while smaller grants are on offer for projects of up to $5000.

Access and inclusion

Bass Coast Shire Council is offering grants of up to $2000 for businesses and community groups to improve accessibility and inclusion.
Projects could include physical improvements like ramps and accessible toilets, alternative information formats such as large print menus for people with vision impairment, or hosting disability awareness training for members or staff.
Applications close at 5pm on Monday, December 4.

Local history grants

Community groups from across Victoria are invited to apply for the latest round of local history grants.
Community groups can apply for grants of up to $15,000 for individual projects.
The Local History Grants Program is administered by Public Record Office Victoria. Applications for grants close on December 11. Visit prov.vic.gov.au for more details and to apply.


Men’s Sheds grants

Applications for grants are now open to help establish, expand, or improve men’s sheds.
Applications close at 5pm on Friday, December 8. For information visit: providers.dffh.vic.gov.au/mens-shed-program.
