Seniors Advisory Committee

The government is creating a Senior Victorians Advisory Committee, comprised of up to eight members of the community alongside four members from sector bodies, providing advice on the needs and rights of older Victorians, and to inform government priorities and programs.
Those interested in applying can learn more at www.seniorsonline.vic.gov.au. Applications close July 2.


Mental Health Prize

Nominations are open for the Australian Mental Health Prize, established in 2016 by UNSW Sydney to highlight the importance of recognising individuals who have made significant contributions to mental health promotion, advocacy, and service provision.

Nominations close July 8.

To nominate, answer three questions about the nominee's mental health contributions and impact on the online form at www.australianmentalhealthprize.org.au
Categories include Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, lived experience, professional, and community hero.


Premier's Design Awards

Entries are now open for the 2024 Premier's Design Awards, honouring Victoria's leading designers, architects and design-led businesses.

The awards are presented in eight categories: Architectural Design, Product Design, Digital Design, Fashion Design, Service Design, Design Strategy, Communication Design and a tertiary Student Design category to recognise the next generation of creative professionals.

Entries are open until July 19 and are free to enter for eligible Victorian designers, architects and businesses. For more information or to enter, visit premiersdesignawards.vic.gov.au


Recognising our volunteer superstars

Nominations are now open for the Victorian Volunteer Awards 2024, and can be submitted for inspiring individuals or organisations, who are helping make Victoria an even better place to live through their volunteering.

There are five Award categories for individuals, while organisations may be nominated under five different categories.

Finalists and winners will be selected by an expert panel, including members of the volunteering community, and invited to celebrate at a ceremony in early 2025.
