Preparations for the Deb Rielly Run for the Kids on March 10 are well underway.
Preparations for the Deb Rielly Run for the Kids on March 10 are well advanced and organisers are encouraging sporting clubs, schools, workplaces and other groups to register as a team.
The team with the most participants will win a cash prize of $250.
The Deb Rielly Run for the Kids is in memory of Deb Rielly who devoted her life to supporting the community and creating opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
The run on Sunday March 10 starts at the main Kilcunda Foreshore car park at 9.30am.
You can register on site up until 9.15am and teams will also be registered on site.
Runners and walkers will all cross the iconic trestle bridge and take in the fantastic Bass Strait coastline.
“Deb was passionate about being fit and getting out and about in our amazing environment and this event hopes to encourage as many people as possible to get active and appreciate our surroundings,” said event organiser Frank Angarane.
Starting and finishing at the main car park on the Kilcunda Foreshore it will include 2km, 5km and 10km runs and a family friendly walk.
Prizes will be awarded for different age categories.
Online registrations have been steady with the most interest being in the 10km run, Frank said.
Though it will be possible to register on site participants are encouraged to register on line to help streamline the process on race day.
To register as an individual online go to raceroster.com/events/2024/85147/deb-rielly-run-for-the-kids.
