Sisters & Misters, a local singing group on Phillip Island has returned to face to face rehearsals.
It seems like an eternity since Sisters and Misters Phillip Island members were able to rehearse togetheras a group. Following statewide lockdowns in March, the group has been unable to meet face to face asa group. Throughout the period from March 2020, the group has kept connected through a facebook page, regular email contact, small social groupings and through a comprehensive Zoom singing program involving approximately 100 singers online.
With a lot of work from the leader, Irene Bennetts, and a team of dedicated helpers, the groupcommenced face to face rehearsals in a Covidsafe manner on Tuesdays on a fortnightly basis. This operation requires the use of the QR sign in code, masks when not singing, strict social distancing andthe ever present sanitizing and Covid cleaning.
The group has received fantastic support from St Johns Uniting Church, who have worked closely withIrene, to ensure that everything has been done to ensure that this long-awaited return is achieved in assafe a manner as possible for all singers and the Bass Coast community.
The group has also some upcoming performances at Grossard Court Aged Care as well as the InverlochAutumn Festival in Inverloch on Saturday 6th March.
There are some spots available so if you would like to join, please call or text Irene on 0412 822126
