The Women in Recreational Fishing and Boating (WIRFAB) Network Bass Coast locals group recently held a ladies come and try squid fishing session.
Thirty-five women took over the San Remo Jetty and 10 southern calamari were caught.
The ladies learnt a new style of fishing and some lucky attendees were rewarded for their jigging efforts.
The afternoon included a squid cleaning demonstration.
These events put on by WIRFAB are to upskill and get more women into angling.
