Bob Hee caught this baby hammerhead shark last Friday in the channel near Elizabeth Island and got to thinking - the mother shark that laid this and many others, would have been a reasonable size.

In over 50 years of fishing throughout Western Port, he's never seen a hammerhead inside the bay.

The shark was released back into the water shortly after this image was taken.
