Phillip Island will host the 2024 MotoGP from October 18 -20.
The Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) last week released the 2024 Provisional MotoGP™ Calendar.
2024 will mark the 35th anniversary of the first Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix to be held at the world-renowned Phillip Island circuit in 1989.
In that year, Australian Wayne Gardner was victorious in front of a rapturous home crowd – a feat he repeated the following year.
“It’s an exciting moment to confirm dates for 2024, giving fans plenty of time to plan their visit to the wonderful Phillip Island next year,” said Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO, Travis Auld.
“The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix brings an influx of economic benefit to the Bass Coast region, and we are thrilled to lock in these dates for the accommodation and hospitality providers in the area to begin planning ahead for 2024.”
The date announcement comes less than one month before gates open for the MotoGP™ Guru by Gryfyn Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2023, with preparations well underway to welcome back the international MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ categories.
