Taj was a standout, demonstrating versatility and strength in every position he played.

Seb was instrumental in the backline, helping keep Dalyston scoreless in the third quarter.

This week's Captain, Lenny, scored his first goal of the season and exhibited exceptional leadership throughout the game.

At the halfway mark of the season, the kids continue to show improvement and teamwork.

U10 Blue

Under Captain Oscar "Boots" Lomaro's guidance, the junior team opened strongly against Wonthaggi with a collective emphasis on teamwork.

Early forward pressure resulted in several quick goals and coaches stressed the importance of spreading out across the field to facilitate smooth ball movement.

Sam, Nicholas, Thomas and Ethan all had their standout moments, earning praise. The coaches highlighted that every player demonstrated exceptional effort in this game.

Awards: Leith, Jack, Thomas and Quill for their contributions.

U14 Girls

For Round 8, the girls visited their Round 1 opponents on their home soil in Dalyston.

Coming off the back of last week's win the girls went into the game with confidence and drive.

Quarter one was the best quarter the girls have played yet, with scores leaning in the Island's favour by the first break.

This was a win for the Island, as they had halted Dalyston's scoring ability and put huge pressure on their forward line with the Island's incredible, fierce backline.

As the game progressed the margin was slightly bigger but not by much.

In fact, it was narrow, just a few kicks and it shows that the group has become real contenders in the draw.

A welcome to Phillip Island's new recruits Melissa, Sera, Luna and Georgia.

Awards: Melissa, Sadie, Jaz, Sera, Brinkley, Kyra and Macka.

Scores: Phillip Island: 1.4.10. Dalyston: 4.8.32.
