Commanding performance from Bulldogs - Seniors

The Phillip Island Seniors delivered a commanding performance in Round 14, overpowering Tooradin-Dalmore by 56 points in an impressive display of attacking football.

Despite a wasteful performance in front of goal from their opponents, the Bulldogs maintained their focus and executed their game plan with precision.

From the opening bounce, the midfield dominated proceedings, giving the forwards ample opportunity to hit the scoreboard.

Cameron Pedersen was unstoppable, kicking five goals and proving why he’s one of the most dangerous forwards in the league.

Brendan Kimber was electric around the goals with four majors, while Mark Collison and Billy Taylor added two each to round out a potent forward line.

Collison was instrumental in setting the tone with his clean ball use, relentless work rate, and leadership through the centre.

Mark Griffin controlled the ruck contests and gave his on-ballers first use, while Jack Taylor provided drive out of defence and even got on the scoreboard himself.

Connor Thompson and Tyce Kleverkamp were also impressive, contributing defensively and pushing up the ground to create overlap run.

The team’s ball movement and defensive pressure made it difficult for Tooradin-Dalmore to gain any momentum.

This dominant win sees the Seniors maintain their position in the top three, currently sitting third on the ladder with five rounds remaining.

With key players hitting form and the group playing with belief and cohesion, Phillip Island is shaping up as a serious premiership threat as the finals approach.
