1 min read

U16

After a tough loss and a bye, the U16 lads were ready to get back on the winners list.

A full squad for the first time in a month and a trip to Bass was on the cards.

A fast start saw Phillip Island kick the first four goals of the game with Levi, Felix and Caleb all getting on the score board.

The second quarter was tightly contested.

Charlie Fischer and Sam O’Garey steadied the ship in the middle, with Bailey Parry pinch hitting in the ruck.

At the half time break we were able to keep Bass goalless with great defensive efforts from Jesse Moschetti and Archie Williams.

After the long break Lewis DeFazio inserted his dominance in the ruck and completely dominated in the middle.

Jack Mascaros was a bull in the middle also giving our forwards first look at it. Levi, Felix and Caleb all kicking goals in the third to take a commanding 60-point lead at the end of the third quarter.

The fourth quarter started like the third quarter ended.

Dominance in the middle with Charlie Fischer kicking his first and Felix Bathgate kicking his fifth goal.

A big win for the U16 team beating Bass to keep the finals hopes alive.
