A sunny afternoon in Phillip Island showcased the A grade game between Kilcunda Bass and Phillip Island. 

A solid start for both teams, with attackers and defenders battling it out and a fairly level scoreboard at the end of the first quarter.

Phillip Island came out in the second quarter with determination, strong defence and hunger for the ball.

Phillip Island defenders, Anthea and Jacquie’s strong netball minds, skills and defensive pressure had a huge impact.

After five consecutive turn overs, the Phillip Island centre court of Lexi, Maya and Christie were dominating and the strike rate with goals matched.

Lily’s goaling accuracy proved to be costly for Kilcunda Bass.

Island had a strong nine goal lead at the end of the quarter.

Third quarter continued well for the Island and the dynamic duo, Ella and Lily attacked the ball beautifully.

Amelie resumed centre court and her strong feeding and passing was well received.

Phillip Island saw a handy 12-point lead going into the last quarter.

Final quarter saw Kilcunda Bass working hard to claw their way back into the game and a late run with consecutive goals helped them decrease the gap between the final scores.

Phillip Island took out the win.
