Strong performance from U17s
1 min read

It was a stunning morning for the U17s at the Kilcunda Bass home ground and the sun had some kick in it as the girls got their drills underway.

The first quarter began with a few different start positions and kicked off well. The island girls took off with a score of 3-17 (Phillip Island's way).

The defenders used all their bodies relentlessly preventing many attempts by Killy Bass to score, with some excellent intercepts and rebounds in all quarters.

Jasira was excellent and listened intently to coach feedback, adjusting so well to her new spot on the team. Abby also proved a clever thinker and valuable in the midcourt and Jazzy M also played beautifully in her defensive roles and moved well.

There were some excellent uses of voices and the team are evidently working cohesively. This was represented by the score in the final quarter as the island girls were clearly unbeatable.

Best on court: Tilly McK and Isla.

Anzac medal: Abby.

Scores: Phillip Island: 51 def Kilcunda Bass: 19.
