In a tightly contested match, Phillip Island showed plenty of fight but ultimately fell short against a composed Inverloch Kongwak outfit, going down by 17 points.
Despite the final score line, the Bulldogs matched Inverloch for much of the game, with their midfield pressure and defensive efforts keeping them well within striking distance.
