Phillip Island’s young shooters demonstrated impressive composure, matching every centre pass with an accurate conversion, keeping the scoreboard ticking over.
In the second quarter, Bass gained the upper hand, pulling ahead by four goals.
Their defensive pressure and sharp shooting challenged the girls, but the Phillip Island team remained composed and determined.
The third quarter marked a turning point.
Phillip Island lifted their intensity, stepping up their defensive efforts and executing crisp, clean passes into the ring.
A run of five unanswered goals saw them reclaim the momentum, thanks to strong intercepts and smooth transitions down the court.
The final quarter opened once again with a tightly contested exchange, goal-for-goal.
However, the Phillip Island girls found another gear, dominating through crucial rebounds, sharp centre pass conversions and game-changing intercepts.
Their consistency allowed them to break away, sealing a hard-fought and well-deserved victory.
