Students lead at International Women’s Day
Bass Coast College students, Olive Foster and Maddie Hosking were invited to the International Woman’s Day event at the San Remo Library.
Two leadership students from Bass Coast College’s San Remo campus, Olive Foster and Maddie Hosking were invited to the International Woman’s Day event on Friday March 10 facilitated by Sarah Jury from Myli Libraries at the San Remo Library.
Guest speakers Deb Leonard and Hannah Eisen talked about their volunteer work with the Phillip Island Boardriders club and their respective careers in law, business and the construction industry, and shared their experiences with select local students.
They addressed the issue of equity as opposed to equality for women, and how by supporting each other women can thrive and attain their dreams. The panel and students shared together ways to keep strong and positive.
