Mingara Gallery is delighted to bring together two popular artists, Sara Paxton and Laurel Foenander, from April 8 until May 7.
Sara is renowned for her ability to paint the Australian landscape in its most evocative state. She is often inspired by Victoria’s natural beauty. She uses vivid colour and contemporary form to bring a sense of the sublime to her work.
Laurel has a deep affection for her local birdlife. She loves to capture their individual characteristics and depicts them with extraordinary realism. Laurel hopes that her portrayal of the beauty and uniqueness of the native birdlife may encourage the appreciation of these birds and of our natural environment.
Through a shared love of nature, the works of these two artists are beautifully complementary.

The exhibition opens Saturday April 8 at 1pm and runs until Sunday May 7.
Come to the opening and meet the artists!
