The 24 swimmers looked great racing, many in their new team bathers and look forward to the season of racing ahead.
The event, swum in their 25m pool, was great for the SGB juniors who are still getting the hang of 50m races and are encouraged when they hit the wall and know they’re halfway.
It's great practice for them before they race in the 50m pools in a few weeks.
For those who have swum before, it was a great chance to see how much they have progressed over the past few months while there has been a break.
Coach Lorri, who has taught many of them since they joined the Junior Development squad was all smiles, watching them get in and have a go.
"I am so pleased to see them have a go.
“The races can seem like a long way for them, especially those just starting out with their racing journey.
“At the end of the season, they will look back to their first race and see how much their confidence has grown and times reduced."
