Support and respect from Dignity Matters
Dignity Matters Support Service are a way of greeting new clients with empathy and assurance in assisting them to live life.

After 20 plus years working in the health and community sector, Kerryn began Dignity Matters Support Service in April 2020 with a vision to provide a genuine, reliable service.

Dignity Matters has a commitment to supporting people to live their lives without judgement, respecting privacy and honouring client choice.
Kerryn is passionate about enhancing quality of life and mental health.
“I am always humbled by the memories shared and knowing that the little things we do can make a big difference in people’s lives. Connections and fulfilment are important no matter our age or ability.”

Recent changes to the SCHADS (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability) Award require community workers to now be rostered a minimum of two hours. However, this can include more than one client visit. Kerryn said recipients of Home Care Packages and other funded services are not obliged to pay for the two hours. With improved rostering, Dignity Matters Support Service aims to provide minimum one-hour services to continue to meet high care needs and maintain affordability.

Kerryn recognises that a professional team is essential in monitoring client wellbeing and establishing good communication with other service providers in maintaining client safety and wellness. DMSS are always happy to provide information regarding community supports to meet your individual needs.

Kerryn is a member of the ACWA (Australian Community Workers Association) and is committed to continual professional development and upholding ACWA’s code of ethics.
