The bridge … going, going, gone!

We all love a good April Fool’s prank. Thank you to reader Sue Slater who sent us these photos of the day the Phillip Island bridge was “auctioned”.

The bridge … going, going, gone!
We all love a good April Fool’s prank. Thank you to reader Sue Slater who sent us these photos of the day the Phillip Island bridge was “auctioned”. The lucky buyer was this elegantly dressed koala. Apparently, the prank was organised by then Wonthaggi real estate agent Dennis Ginn, and even included a Joan Kirner stand-in! While the date was definitely April 1, Sue wasn’t sure of the year, so if anyone knows what year it was, or recognises anyone in the photo, please let us know (advertiser@pisra.com.au or 5952 3201).
