West-north-westerly winds of 40km or more combined with a super high tide of about 2.9 metres on Wednesday to push up sea levels along the north coast of Phillip Island.

West-north-westerly winds of 40km or more combined with a super high tide of about 2.9 metres on Wednesday to push up sea levels along the north coast of Phillip Island.

The Cowes front beach was among those hit hardest, as well as the Yacht Club beach frontage , with other north facing beaches suffering further severe sand erosion.
