Tough conditions for midweek crew
This week's midweek bowls results.
A cold and miserable day greeted our family of bowlers with the outlook being fairly bleak.
However, 38 bowlers turned up to fight it out once again for team(s) of the day.
What a great turnout.
As time went by, bowlers were removing coats and jumpers as the weather improved.
As usual, a lot of friendly banter among our players but this didn't distract from the quality of the bowling which was first rate.
A big thank you to Phil for preparing the green for our members and to Terry for his hard work behind the bar.
Peter, Pauline and John continue week by week to do all the hard work to keep us going.
We thank them very much.
Winners on 36 points were:
David Smith (S), Margaret Hoy (3), Jim Noonan (2) and Max Williams (L).
Runners up on 3 points were:
Craig Brown (S), Sue Stansfield (3), Raffael Merante (2) and Margaret McConville (L).
Best one game winners on 28 points were:
Terry Floyd (S), Mark Hanrahan (3), Frank D'Uienville (2) and Tony Morris (L).
Next week we return to San Remo, we look forward to a great turnout.
We ask everyone to be on site by 10am to allow enough time for Peter to arrange the teams – this is not an easy or quick process.
