Tough match for Stingrays
It was a tough game for the island's U14 Stingrays on Sunday.
The Phillip Island U14 Stingrays V Inverloch Stars match on Sunday (May 26) began with heavy mist and determination from both sides to keep the ball out of goal.
The goalies from both teams worked hard, particularly Jacob Kelly from the Stingrays, as Inverloch played a strong offensive game.
In defence, Zac Coldora relentlessly chased down the ball and sent it back into the centre of the field, earning player of the game for the Stingrays.
As the vapour dissipated and the sun reigned over the field, both sides continued to maintain an equal pressure at 0-0, however Inverloch made a strong finish and kicked two goals in the final 10 minutes.
Well done to all players for contributing to a determined and exciting game of soccer.
