Two Old Bedfords Festival

The annual Two Old Bedfords Easter Weekend, being held at French Island’s Fengon Festival Grounds, is a celebration of music, bush poetry and local food in a pristine setting overlooking Westernport Bay and Tenby Point on the mainland.

Getting there

Westernport Ferries travels from Cowes to Tankerton Jetty on French Island. Travel time is 15–20 minutes. Adults $33 return, pension/concession $20.30 (seniors card holders free on weekends and public holidays), children five to 16 are $15.20 return, see the timetable at www.westernportferries.com.au

Transport from the ferry to the festival grounds (10km) will be available but must be pre-booked, phone or text Bruce on 0476 929 896.

The Spirit of French Island Barge, which can carry two cars, departs from Corinella. Bookings are essential and must be made in advance. Cost per car is $100 each way. Foot passengers $20 return. To book phone 0428 880 729. The barge landing is 2km from the festival grounds, off Mosquito Creek Road.
