Ventnor accident: driver in critical condition
Serious accident on Ventnor Beach Road.
A man sustained life-threatening injuries after his car struck a tree in Ventnor this afternoon.
The accident happened around 1pm on Ventnor Beach Road.
Police said the male driver was trapped for nearly an hour before being cut free.
He was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Volunteers from the local SES and CFA units attended and police praised the prompt response, saying they “did an amazing job”.
