Well done Amy!

Amy Hodson has completed her fundraising challenge, swimming 30kms and raising $7076 for the Starlight Foundation Super Swim Challenge.

Amy completed her swim last Wednesday night at squad training.  She needed to swim 2.2kms so her coach made the set exactly 2.2kms. Everyone else finished a lap short and lined the lane rope to cheer Amy home for her final metres.

Amy said this year’s challenge was harder than her 2023 attempt.

She battled an eye infection which kept her out of the water for several days and the wild weather that shut power to our region closed the pools for a few days.

Despite these setbacks, she powered home to complete the challenge, which included a 19-day streak where she swam every day.
