Wet winter hasn’t hampered Cultural Centre progress
The steel frame goes up over the theatre area, with the next concrete pour due this week, weather permitting.

Wet weather has slowed work at the site of the new Cowes Cultural Centre, but there’s still be plenty of progress.

Over the past few weeks, steel columns were erected over the theatre area with the next concrete pour scheduled for this Thursday (weather permitting). Timber columns for the theatre area were delivered onsite last week.

A spokesperson for Bass Coast Shire Council said the recent rainfall had caused minor delays but was not expected to impact on the overall timeframes.
