Candlelight Vigil

On Wednesday May 6 Berninneit will be illuminated in purple as part of the national Candlelight Vigil, to remember and honour those who have been killed by domestic and family violence.

Bass Coast Shire Council will host the event at 6.30pm, with the community welcome to attend and light a candle in remembrance, to create "a space for reflection, connection and hope".

"To remember the women and children who have lost their lives, and to stand in support of those impacted by family violence," a council spokesperson said.
